Retro OSX gaming

Was playing around with AppleScript tonight and created a very trivial little front end for starting sdlmame on OSX. Well, more of a dialogue than a front end really. Anyway, if you use sdlmame on a Mac, don't really like bloated front ends with all their screenshots and other stuff then checkout the article, it's under "Misc Stuff" on the left. Wth just a few lines of script then you can avoid having to drop into the terminal all the time! I'll do a bit more work on it another time to add a couple of minor extra features but that'll do as a starter to get you going.

Also found a bunch more repair logs that I must find the time to write up! 3 for Centipede and 1 for a bootleg PacMan pcb that turned out to actually be a Ms PacMan pcb when i got it going (shame!)

Atari fun

Not been doing too much lately, have been too busy with non arcade projects for other people but I have had the time to finally make up a test rig for Atari games that use Audio Regulater (and AR2) based voltages. Nothing fancy but will make working on them somewhat easier I hope. The write up can be found in the projects section of the site.

While I was ordering the parts for that I had to get a small speaker in and as the one in the jamma rig blew I ordered one for that too. Why mention this? It means that very soon I'll be having to open up the jamma rig and so I should finally after all this time get round to taking some more pcitures of the finished kit and get part two of that feature put up as well!!

PCB List

Added a PCB list to the misc section of the site. I've never really been one to list what i've got and what i haven't but it does make sense to have a list i can point people to in the event of trying to arrange a trade. PLEASE NOTE: Just because something is listed, doesn't mean it's available for sale or trade. That said, everything has a price. However, if i don't really want to sell or trade something then expect that price to be way, way, WAY over the market value Happy

More asteroids

Yet another asteroids repair log added - will need a whole website dedicated to them soon!
